This is the story about a little girl who liked to play nurse in her "doll hospital". Her brothers called her "Nurse Nancy", but they never had time to play with her...until one day they needed her help. One of the boys had a nasty cut on his leg and mother was not home. Nurse Nancy came to the rescue. After that, the boys decided to play with her making their wagon into an ambulance. What fun they had using candies for pills and plastic band-aids for their hurts!
"Nurse Nancy" is a classic Little Golden Book written by Kathryn Jackson and illustrated by Corinne Malvern.
Product Placement: Nancy is shown using Band-Aid brand bandages to replace the bulky, cumbersome gauze her mother received from her doctor for a little cut on her finger, and to patch up her brother Tom's scraped knee when there are no adults around to administer first aid. - TvTropes
A NOTE FROM THE PUBLISHERS
Two years ago we published a book called DOCTOR DAN THE BANDAGE MAN, which contained six real BAND-AID Adhesive Bandages. And in no time at all, DOCTOR DAN was taken to heart by more than two million small readers.
Soon, however, letters began pouring in, saying "How about Doctor Dan's small sister? She loves to play Nurse and Hospital!"
So we went back to Johnson & Johnson and asked if they would be willing to cooperate with us on a book about Nurse Nancy, Johnson & Johnson not only seconded our motion, they made available to us for this book millions and millions of their new BAND-AID Plastic Bandages-Strips, Patches, and Spots
In helping us with this book, they asked that we point out that BAND AID is Johnson & Johnson's trademark for its brand of plastic and cloth adhesive bandages, and for several other products in its line.
