If you're a fan of Little Golden Books then you will definitely recognize the name Mel Crawford. A Canadian-American children's book illustrator.

Mel Crawford (1925-2015) was a Canadian born illustrator of Sesame Street books. Crawford also illustrated books and comic book covers for Disney and supplied the art for the Dr. Seuss book Gerald McBoing Boing, using water colors. He supplied art for over 93 Western Publishing titles.

Died in Washington, CT. February 23, 2015 (89 years old)
