GoodReads Review:
This is a cute, but very old fashioned book about manners. for example, the book tells children to thank a host and his Mommy (what about his Daddy?)
It's less of a story than a list of rules you should follow. A few of the rules may not even be appropriate today, such as telling someone that you need to take a message because your Mom and Dad aren't home. Telling a stranger that you're home alone (why, even, would a child young enough for this story be home alone anyway?) isn't the best advice these days.
But it has adorable illustrations by Richard Scarry and brings back memories from an older age.

From Bernadette: "This document appears to be an excerpt from the 1962 children's book "My Little Golden Book of Manners" by Peggy Parish. It provides instructions and guidelines for good manners and polite behavior in various social situations such as at the dinner table, when inviting friends over, making phone calls, traveling on buses or trains, and interacting with others in public.
