TEX and his TOYS #129 (A Little Golden Make-It Book)

Tex and His Toys, Little Golden Book, 'A' Edition, Written by Elsa Ruth Nast, pictures by Corinne Malvern. Published by Simon & Schuster. Copyright 1952

Summary: Tex and his Little Sister have a work shop on the front porch. They have paper, scissors, pencil & pins they will use + Tex's toy book which came with it's own tape. They go to work making a pinwheel, rocking horse, doll hat, a handy box, airplane & twirly bird.

A NOTE FROM THE PUBLISHERS:
If some of us were to take a poll of the favorite toys of small children, are quite certain that cellophane tape would take its place near the top, along with dolls and electric trains. For what is more satisfactory than nice, tight-sticking tape that can be used to make new toys, to patch old ones, and in a thousand and one varying ways around the house? When the editors of LITTLE GOLDEN BOOKS conceived the idea of a new kind of book that would enable small boys and girls to put together their own toys, we promptly called on Industrial Tape Corporation, the manufacturers of TEXCEL Cellophane Tape, for help. They were extremely cooperative in making tape available to us for this book, and asked only that we point out that TEXCEL is there trademark for this engaging product.
