The Billiard Lesson

On a Sunday when he was on duty at the facility from which he was employed, Chico got up early and walked to his office.

As he passed at 7 o'clock in the morning, in front of a bar, he was amazed to see so soon a group of boys playing billiards.

At lunchtime the same boys played billiards.

In the afternoon, at 5:00 p.m., he came to dinner, and then noticed that the same group was there, in the bar, playing billiards.

Finally, at ten o'clock on the way home, when his task was over, he passed by the same place again and, in surprise, found that the same group of young people there was still in the same distance.

He exclaimed to himself, "My God, is it possible what I see? I have so much work, I do not have time to lose it. However, these young men went all day in a useless pastime!

And immediately he heard the word of Emmanuel, and said to him,

     Billiards are also God's creation.

While these young people amuse themselves, they do not mentify crimes, they do not increase their own faults, nor give access to the tenebrous thoughts of the crystallized spirits in delinquency.

Let us thus learn to respect the Goodness of God.
